A 1941 film starring Bella Lugosi & Dorothy Short.
A group of East side kids are sent to mountain camp, a place for underprivileged youths, on their journey they hear a bulletin on the radio about ‘The Monster’ a crazed murderer who drains his victims blood, believed to be in the same area as the boys. After everyone sets up camp and has fallen asleep, one of the boys decides to sneak out, his other friends follow. Walking through a cemetary ‘peewee’ is shot by a grave-digger, seeking help the boys take peewee to the nearest house they find, a Mansion. Luckily for the boys the owner knows a thing or two about medicine and recommends the boys stay for the night in order for Peewee to rest. Further into the night the boys spot Peewee walking around in what seems to them as a trance. The boys instantly think that the owner of the mansion is ‘The Monster‘ they heard about on the radio. Meanwhile, back at camp, the nurse has noticed the boys are missing, and sets off to find them, with the help of Dr Grosch, who happens to be in the area tracking down ‘The Monster’. When Linda, the nurse, doesn’t appear Jeff (the camp director) fetches help and sets out to find the missing boys and Linda.
Back at the house, the boys manage to tie up Nardo (the owner of the mansion) in order to escape, however, before they do, they hear the scream of a female voice coming from another room. It’s not long before they learn who Nardo really is!
